Global Rebuild

What’s the issue?

People want to figure out how much a car will cost them, but there are many factors that contribute to the cost of a car (region, taxes, income, etc.).

How can we help?

Gather information, in a simplistic way.

How do we do that?

Find out the necessary information, and figure out what steps can be simplified.

Results

Some of the things we found out can be gathered just through standard website information.

Date, ZIP code, as well as defaulting to standardized things such as Personal vehicle over Commercial and Buying over Leasing. Further down the page you can also default incentives, and more.

So simply by defaulting fields and info, a large amount of work is already done for the user.

Implementation

The design that we created was part of a team whose goal was the global rebuild of all Ford websites (Ford Italy, Ford Norway, etc.)

I’m proud to say the work we did has survived for years.

Island Charters

Brand Creation

Starting from scratch.

Island Charters as a fishing charter service, had never had a logo or brand identity.

Where do we start?

Go simple. It’s a fishing company, start with a fish. 🐟

How do we make it unique?

OK, sure, we want to start with a fish, but how can we make it unique enough that it makes people curious, and also keeps their attention.

So, at first glance the logo comes out to a fish (or fish head), but also creates an arrow head as well to coincide with the family’s hunting identity.

As you get further into the logo though, it begins to take many forms.

Pointing North (the company is up north), the arrow becomes a compass.

Looking at the compass, you notice it’s stacked on top of a cabin.

The final little touch is that the tip of the logo spells out L, B, O, for Lipple Brother’s Outdoors. The charter company is owned by brothers, Gregory and Jeffrey Lipple.

The brand is now seen on shirts, hats, mugs, stickers, etc. and has worked out well for the company.

Stellantis

App Redesign

Sprint had built an app.

The initial variation of Stellantis’ connected vehicle apps were built by Sprint - the company which had built the vehicle’s head units.

It was time to build it in-house.

Designers at Stellantis’ design office (where they design head-units, steering wheels, etc.), had access to the PSD’s of Sprint’s app designs. Since they were at capacity, I was brought in to help create a design group.

What’s the goal?

The goal was relatively simple. We had an app that we called the “Dark Blue App”, and we needed to make it the “Light Blue App”.

We matched the app ux/ui nearly 1:1. The screens below show some of the designs that didn’t get passed because they weren’t 1:1, but the design is something that turned out great regardless of whether or not it ended up getting published.

Global Rebuild

As part of the global rebuild of Ford’s digital space, we rebuilt their website’s to have the same UX no matter which country you were in - only the content would change.

We took that on within the Ford Credit side as well to match the GUX (global ux). The payment estimator was another section of build and price. Where now, not only could you see the vehicle you built, but see how much it would cost you.
